Run Away

Art is the only way to run away without leaving home.
—Twyla Tharp

Stumbled on this quote this afternoon and couldn’t agree more with this statement. This is something that I haven’t taken the opportunity to do for a while. I have had plans to run away and escape my everyday stress, distractions, headaches, etc. with my art for quite some time now, but I just haven’t. There are times when there is no greater relief from all those problems/distractions than sitting down and creating, one of those times is quickly approaching for me. It has been a while since I last picked up my brushes and put paint to vinyl and I am ready to put an end to these problems and “run away”.
