Incredible Future

the future seemed incredible but gathering creative connections with the company’s standards was crap.

Haven’t done one of these in a while. Word Play is an exercise I picked up from a book I keep on my desk within arms reach, Creative Sparks, for when I hit a wall or need some inspiration. A while ago, I had been doing one a week for a month or two.

Basically what you do is pull a page from a magazine or anything that has some body copy and pick through the words to make a phrase or statement. I scan the page and make a copy so I can filter through the article/copy and circle key words to make my sentence/phrase. After that, I block out the words and just play around in photoshop. The exercise in the book suggests using actual paint and media on the page, something I have yet to try. If you haven’t done one of these before, I recommend you try it at least once…it isn’t as easy as it would seem.
